Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Mobile Tech Media, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the Key Capture mobile application (the “App”) and the keycapture.app website (the “Website”). By using our App or Website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Authentication: If you connect your YouTube or Facebook account for live streaming, we use Google OAuth and Facebook OAuth to authenticate your streaming session. We do not store your social media passwords.
- Contact Information: If you contact us via email at [email protected], we collect your name and email address to respond to your inquiry.
Information Collected Automatically
- Subscription Data: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase data, device identifiers, and subscription status. We do not directly process or store payment information — all payments are handled by Apple through the App Store.
- Device Permissions: The App requires access to your device’s camera, microphone, and Bluetooth capabilities to provide its core functionality (recording video, capturing audio, and connecting to MIDI keyboards). This data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not serve advertisements and do not use ad tracking.
- We do not collect analytics or usage tracking data.
- We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
2. Google API Data — YouTube Integration
Key Capture uses the YouTube API Services to enable live streaming directly from the App to your YouTube channel. Our use of Google API data is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Accessed
When you connect your Google account, Key Capture requests the youtube.force-ssl OAuth scope. This scope is required by the YouTube Live Streaming API to create and manage live broadcasts on your channel. Specifically, the App accesses:
- Your YouTube channel information (channel name and ID) to identify which channel to stream to
- Live broadcast and live stream resources to create, configure, start, and end live streams on your behalf
The App does not access, read, modify, or delete your existing YouTube videos, comments, ratings, captions, playlists, or any other channel content. We only use this scope because it is required by the YouTube Live Streaming API — there is no narrower scope available.
Data Usage
Google user data accessed through the YouTube API is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate your identity and link the App to your YouTube channel
- Create new live broadcast events on your YouTube channel when you tap “Go Live”
- Transition broadcast status (testing, live, complete) during your streaming session
- End and clean up the broadcast when you stop streaming
We do not use your Google user data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the live streaming functionality described above.
Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transfer your Google user data to any third parties. Your Google OAuth credentials and YouTube data are used solely within the App to facilitate live streaming. No Google user data is sent to our servers, third-party analytics services, advertising platforms, or any other external party.
Data Storage & Protection
Your Google OAuth access token is stored securely on your device using the iOS Keychain, which provides hardware-backed encryption. We do not store your Google OAuth tokens, YouTube channel data, or any other Google user data on our servers. All communication with the YouTube API occurs directly from your device over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Data Retention & Deletion
Google OAuth tokens are retained on your device only for the duration of your active connection. You can revoke Key Capture’s access to your Google account at any time by:
- Disconnecting your YouTube account within the App’s settings, which immediately deletes all stored tokens from your device
- Revoking access through your Google Account permissions page
- Uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data including OAuth tokens
Because we do not store any Google user data on our servers, there is no server-side data to delete. Disconnecting or uninstalling fully removes all Google-related data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and Website
- Authenticate your streaming sessions with YouTube and Facebook
- Create and manage live broadcasts on your YouTube channel
- Manage your subscription through RevenueCat and Apple
- Respond to support inquiries
4. Data Storage and Security
All video recordings, audio, and MIDI data generated by the App are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store your content on our servers. Streaming data is transmitted directly from your device to the streaming platform (YouTube, Facebook, or your custom RTMP server).
OAuth tokens are stored using the iOS Keychain with hardware-backed encryption. We implement reasonable security measures to protect any personal information we do collect. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store: For app distribution and payment processing
- RevenueCat: For subscription management (Privacy Policy)
- Google (YouTube): For live streaming via the YouTube API Services (Google Privacy Policy, YouTube Terms of Service)
- Facebook (Meta): For live streaming authentication via OAuth (Privacy Policy)
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete such information.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information
- Object to or restrict processing of your personal information
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. You can also revoke the App’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App or Website after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
