We want to start off by thanking the community for their continued support over these past few years. Key Capture is becoming a staple in the industry. To show our appreciation, we’re going to post app changes and planned updates on our blog so everyone’s informed. Here’s the updates in the next version.
Changing the default audio sample rate to 48khz
48khz is the industry standard sample rate for audio when used with video. Moving forward, all audio will be recorded at 48khz unless an interface is plugged in that doesn’t support 48khz.
Additionally, the issue with the app crashing when an interface was plugged in has not been fixed. external headphones and interfaces can be plugged in without risking the app crashing.
Interface connect/disconnect has been fixed
If an audio device is connected/disconnected and Key Capture is currently recording or streaming, it will stop and save the video if that function is enabled. You will need to start recording or streaming again after the device is connected. The app functions the same if a midi device is attached/detached, it will continue to record and stream without interruption.
Planned Future Updates
- Fix Audio/Video Sync issues
- Facebook Login for Facebook Live
- Revamp Google/YouTube Login System
- Front Camera option
